Reading DLO ancient modern to the preset day

This week we have been working on Olympic DLOs in reading. It was really fun but I did not finished because I wasn't here for half of it. 

We and research information about what question we wanted to Aswer. I did from the ancient Olympics to the modern Olympics to the present day. 

We had this google docs and that we had to put information into about the question we wanted to answer and after that we put it all on to and google slid or book creater. It was really fun  

Tough guy gal challenge.

On Wensday the 4th August 15 people went to the mud run/tough guy gal challenge. I was one of theose people that went. It was fun because you would start at 50 people at a time mosty our 15 people we were all in a bunch at the start so that was good. There was there was barbed wire and we had to go on the tunnels and mud rivers up to waist height. Good that there were showers but you had to wait in like a huge line to get just into the shower. But they were hot showers and there was a man that was spraying those with cold water.

Olympics Profile

This week I was not a school for 4 days. Except for today Friday the whole sydicate has been working on the Olympics. I am looking forward to be working on this next week.

  
Here is some work I did last term. 

         

I chose him because I really like skatebourding and I know a lot about him already. 

Also I watched lots of the Olympics games on TV one like The Womens Rugby 7's They won a silver medal and the in the tryathlon we got a bronze medal.

For a couple of weeks we have been learning about Cultaral Games  

in Panui.

Cultural Games are lots of games from difreant countries after that we had to create a google animation about a game or a sport because cultural games are sports like some that we played and some that we wite adout here are some of the games. Pass the Parcal from the UK,Kabbadi from Indai,Tiniking from Philippines, and some more  

I learnt a lot more games that I really like and more that are really fun and you can get fit and learning new games are other countries does refunded like to do it again for reading but different games.

Swimming at school 2021

On the 13th of may we have been going to Cameron pools for water safety we all got there on a kiwi coach bus from our school to Cameron pools when we get there we would go in the changeing rooms and when we would come out changed we would wate for the other class to get out then your teacher would call your name and your jump in the pool (safely). Im in a group with a girl cold Britney. Some of the techers were in the water and some wernt. We started doing streamline across the whole pool on the way back we did back stroke and all sorts of things after that . at The end we could do flips underwater. I really like going under the water and doing funny faces. I love going to Cameron pools my goal is to be a much better swimmer then I am now. 

 

Year 5 Wellbeing with Miss McGrath

On the 17th of  May the Year 6 went to Spark Arena to Happy Place and me and all the other Year 5's were with Miss McGrath. 

First we started looking at the Wellbeing survey and some of the questions. We went through them and thought about if it was a sensible answer. Then we did some origami and made a chatter box. We had to write positive things on it. When you have finished you coloured the top or just wrote the colour.

Anzac Under the wires

 On Wednesday at school the class was locked and all the lights were off. And we could not see inside. Me and my friends went to the back deck and we saw the teachers were holding a Nerf gun, so we ran to the front door and we went in. All the teachers were in black clothes and had paint on there face. We looked in the three other classrooms and there was string all over the classrooms tied to all the tables and chairs. It was so exciting and then we got told to get up and get our art books, pencils, pens, rubbers and our ruler. Then we had to roll over and crawl through the strings to get where we need to go. And you were not allowed to touch the wires to do maths. While we were in there we did a maths test through massive loud noises like guns and BOMBS and people shouting. It was so noisy! We had to do maths about when and why we had Wars. Then we did writing, we had to write a post card to our family, then we did a Picture Dictation which I have some photos for you!! 

After that we had to write about the blog post ideas about what we're going to do on the blog post.  Then when we had to pack up all the strings blindfolded which was very hard. We also had to have one person with the blindfold on and one that had to guide them around. We had to go under and over until we got to the end everything  and until it was all clean. And then we got to go HOME!

all of this was because of Anzac about how it would feel when you're in the trenches. My favourite part of it was the picture dictionary.

Family Fun Day

                             Family Fun Day 

Last week on Friday we had a family fun day where you were asked to bring a pair of togs and a pair of spare clothes. We rotated in our House Group my house group is Ruru there is three other houses Tui and Kea and all so Pukako but Ruru is the best. 

First

We had the wheels zone you were allowed every wheel even little toy cars I have my skateboard some people at bikes scooters do a ramps that you were allowed to skate down in scooter on even jump off if you're brave enough if you didn't bring your own wheels you would use the school's wheels.   

Second  

The water side was so fun but cold because when you wait in the line you get quite cold waiting for your turn. We could also go in the pool but we had to wash off because all the bubbly chemicals on the slide I thought I was going to be cold water it was actually really warm when you jump in the pool it's all warm.  

Third 

We had the obstacle bouncy castle it was so fun racing your friends running through who was a big gap in between we had a jumper I slipped and hurt my leg at the end is a massive slide some people try to hide it the top but I would just jump down sometimes I was race and then go my back down the side who was the other little obstacle bouncy castle what was short but fun to. 

It was other things like the bake sale which was cool because you could buy lots of cool delicious treats there was also a bouncy castle slip and slide I got very cold on that there was also just a bouncy castle which was a ship.

Lockdown

Hey Bloggers 

Again back in lock down. Because of   no school boring while in lock down. Here is my Favourite activity was one playing kahoot with my sister and Dustine. I think we did 4 together. I made a kahoot, It is hard but I managed it. I also did lots of board games. I felt excited because of the earthquake and the tsunami, it is scary because you hear that noise on the phone and it is really loud. The google meets were fun we get to see all the teachers and we some times play kahoot. I never win but it is sill fun. We had a fancy or freckly day u dress up fancy or freckly. I chose freaky have a look at some pictures.
