Year 5 Wellbeing with Miss McGrath

Kia ora bloggers

On the 17th of  May the Year 6 went to Spark Arena to Happy Place and me and all the other Year 5's were with Miss McGrath.

First we started looking at the Wellbeing survey and some of the questions. We went through them and thought about if it was a sensible answer. Then we did some origami and made a chatter box. We had to write positive things on it. When you have finished you coloured the top or just wrote the colour.

Here's photos of the steps to how to make a chatter box

1. you have a square piece of paper
    2. fold it into a triangle

3. unfold it from the triangle

                                                                                                                   4. folded again from the other side

                                                                                                                        5. fold one corner to the midde

                                                                                                     7. turn it around on fold the other sides in

8. fold like this

                                                                                                                           9. do this

10. unfold the flaps and try to move it around

  1. Hi Lewis, I'm impressed with your instructions on how to make a chatterbox. The Year Fives really gave consideration to the messages that they wrote on the chatterboxes, and I know that some students have been using them since! Perhaps you could give your blog readers some suggestions about the types of compliments they might include in their own versions of the chatterboxes. Do you think I should do this with the Year 6s when I take them? Do you have any suggestions for improvements that you think I should make? Thanks for your blog post Lewis!
